Full Stack Web Developer - Intern

Over the years, we’ve helped various companies and organisations move along their digital transformation journeys and also conducted various capacity building programs aimed for innovative leadership to meet the needs of different actors in the tax policy and administration realm.
As we scale our efforts in 2023 and beyond, we’re looking for a Full Stack Web Developer who’s passionate about joining our quest to help build and manage our product and tools for the flagship MN Innova Digital Transformation Centre (visit).
Conditions
- MN Innova internship programme provides monthly stipend for the internship; you will also gain valuable experience and access to a network;
- All the expenses connected with the internship will be borne by the company.
- Interns are not staff members and may not represent MN Innova in any official capacity;
- You are expected to work full time but flexibility is allowed for your education programme;
The job in a nutshell
We are looking for Full Stack Web Developers to join our product teams. Your responsibility is primarily to assist with the development of software and products.
You’ll spend time on the following
- Supporting software document management and collaboration
- Assisting the company in the development and delivery of the Application
- Reviewing and understanding the proposed software detailed design.
- Assisting the management team in proposing the most convenient and latest technology solutions.
- Analyzing, evaluating and receiving feedback.
- Meeting with the project team when requested.
- Evaluating technical assessment, feedback and recommendations related to the progress of work done.
- Performing initial application testing/debugging, in particular unit testing and integration testing procedures in addition to regression testing whenever required.
- Performing the database design/modifications and implementation of the various database objects and functionalities that are to support the application development effort and requirements.
- Preparing and submitting the required technical deliverables, in particular the application source code, and other documents and artifacts as needed.
- Performing any other tasks requested by the management team related to the development of the software.
Here’s what we’re looking for
- You are comfortable with the ambiguity, pace and continuous iteration of an early-stage startup
- Proven experience in Web programming languages, experience at least in front-end and backend Web development and necessary dependencies;
- Experience in database software, experience at least in one of the following is required: Access, MsSQL and MySQL is highly desirable;
- Experience at least in one of the following design programs is required: (Visual Studio, Adobe Dreamweaver, HTML, DHTML, XML….);
- Experienced in Web frameworks is required.
- Has interest in Innovation and solutions;
- Design Thinking, Service Design, and Customer Experience.
- Problem solving: Has good analytical skills in gathering and consolidating data for practical implementation
- Teamwork: Communicates effectively when working in a team, and can work independently.
- Proactive attitude and a goal-oriented mind-set
- Collaboration: Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
